Some time ago, I decided it would be a great idea to redo our powder room. It was a deep red and didn't match the space. With the advice of my dad, I decided to paint the ceiling first. Unfortunately, I did not have enough paint to do the entire ceiling twice. Since I lack patience, I loaded my two youngest into the car and off to Home Depot we went. Comparing prices, I noticed that it was cheaper to get the 2 gallon container of paint (especially since there were other rooms I wanted to paint as well). We then dropped off my youngest boy at school and went home. My daughter went down for a much needed, not very often, morning nap so I decided now was the time. I painted the small space and cleaned it up. Little did I know that there would be much more to clean up. I stored the remaining paint in the laundry room. Later that day, I had my two youngest back at home with me. I ran into the garage to quickly grab something when I heard "Mommy, come here!" I yelled back just to give me one minute. Apparently when your child yells at you, you come running because when I walked in, I noticed that two gallons of ceiling paint were no longer in its right container but all over my hallway and laundry room floor! After an hour of cleaning, I learned two important things: 1. never leave ceiling or any paint where your child can reach it. 2. Always have shop clothes on hand.
